Dr. Ashutosh Karnatak

Prior to his appointment as Director (Projects),Dr. Karnatak served as Executive Director (Projects) in GAIL. During his rich career span of over 30 years, he has managed diverse infrastructure projects such as construction of cross country trunk pipelines like Dabhol – Bangalore,Dahej-Vijaipur, Dahej-Uran, Dabhol-Panvel, CGD networks in Mumbai, R-LNG terminal at Dabhol, and building projects like, LPG gas processing plant at Gandhar, besides spearheading wind and solar energy projects.

He has authored books on oil and gas sector(Asian Gas Grid – A critical analysis of its feasibility), project management(Project Management of Hydrocarbon Pipelines – A Journey) and self-development(Yes! You Can; Words Have Power). He is the proponent of the movement called PI-PI-CI (“Positive India – Projectised India – Competent India”). He has developed an innovative Project Monitoring and Controlling technique called ‘Arjuna – (MC4E2)ec’, and capability building model named ‘BeDoPhe’. Besides this, he has avid interest in astrology and is engaged in a number of social and developmental initiatives.


Dr. Uddesh Kohli

Dr. Uddesh Kohli, B.E.(Hons), MBA and Ph.D in Economics, is presently the Chairman Emeritus of Construction Industry Development Council, Chairman of Construction Industry Arbitration Council and Engineering Council of India. He is also Secretary General of International Federation of Training & Development Organizations (IFTDO) and Senior Adviser in Global Compact Office of UN Secretary General, promoting this Programme in India. He is Independent Director on the Boards of several companies and a Member of the Board of Governors of IIM, Kozhikode.

Dr Kohli has been Adviser, Planning Commission, the Chairman & Managing Director of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), Chairman of Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) and Consultancy Development Centre, President of Council of Indian Employers (CIE) and All India Management Association and Member of the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He has worked as Consultant with several United Nations organizations and the Asian Development Bank.


Mr. Arun Kumar Jain

Mr. Arun Kumar Jain is the General Manager and Project Operations lead for Fluor in India. Mr. Kumar Jain has 31 years of experience comprising project management, global engineering execution of EPC projects for power, oil and gas, refineries, revamp, and industrial projects. He also has international experience with Fluor across a broad spectrum of assignments and projects for a vast clientele.


Ms. Sunita Sule

Sunita is part of the 9 member Management Committee of BASF in India and as Corporate Affairs Director heads Government Relations, Corporate Communications and CSR for BASF in South Asia. She is also a part of the Corporate Affairs Leadership Team in Asia Pacific. She has studied Economics, Germanistics and Business Administrations and has international work experience in countries like Germany, Belgium and Hong Kong.


Mr. Ashok B. Chakraborty

Mr. Chakraborty is the Chief Sustainability Officer, National Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Corporate Affairs

Before joining IICA Mr Ashok Baran Chakraborty was the Executive Director ONGC & held key positions of Chief- Carbon Management & Sustainability, Chief CSR and Chief HSE (Corporate). He steered ONGC’s policy making, strategy formulation, and program / project development in the area of Sustainable development including climate change. He had overseen high impact CSR projects of ONGC in the focus areas of healthcare, community development etc. He has developed policies, procedures, guidelines, standards & presented papers globally in the above fields. He formed and developed corporate CSR set up. His core specialization includes Sustainability, CSR and Health, Safety & Environment management. He has developed policies on climate change & sustainable development, formed ‘Carbon Management & Sustainability Group, established “Sustainable Development Offices (SDO’s) in all ONGC work centers, steered ONGC in successful development of 12 UNFCCC registered CDM projects.


Mr. Suhas Tuljapurkar

Mr. Suhas Tuljapurkar is a ‘Director’ at Legasis Services Pvt. Ltd.He has worked as in-house counsel with Dabhol Power, Enron, Essar Group, Hindustan Unilever, Fiat, Blue Dart Express Ltd and others.

Suhas has a specialist experience in the fields of Infrastructure Projects, Corporate Laws, Joint Ventures, M & A, Energy/Power, VC Fund, Litigation and Dispute Resolution. Suhas has pioneered in many areas such as developing Regulatory Practice and Privatization of Infrastructure Super Sectors. He has extensively works with MNCs, Funds and other Investors. Suhas has also developed various IT enabled solutions that provide high quality Legal Services.

Suhas has played pivotal role in numerous large infrastructure projects, including Energy/Power, Road, Port, Aviation, Real Estate, Retail and Railways. He has been a thought leader in power regulatory framework, particularly in tariff practices in infrastructure sector.
